New Start

Updated: Nov 1, 2022

These past two weeks have been a combination of moving and meeting people. I moved into a new dorm building with a new roommate and a new situation. The Anam dormitory is very full and the first few nights playing Uno in the kitchen was very exciting. I was reminded of playing very intense uno games with my family during holiday visits. I met many people while just moving in for 2 days. Now today is the day before classes start and I finally feel like I can catch up.

I took a day trip to Incheon with some people I had never met and KIMBERLYYYYYY! Yes, she is BACK IN KOREA!! Very happy to have my best friend back and begin our VERY long bucket list of things to do in the next 17 weekends. Wow, 17 weekends sounds so sad when I think about it. I have very big plans! But going back to the story of my day trip. I went to Incheon which is where you fly into Korea, an oceanside city only an hour and a half away from where I am staying. We rode a crazy amusement park ride where you only hold on to a metal bar and try to keep from falling off. There is a man manually controlling the ride and he makes fun of you as you almost fall. For those that can't picture this in their head, it's like riding a mechanical bull but you hold on backward and the man controls it with a vengeance!!

After making my arms sore for 3 days by holding on for my dear life, we went to the pier and ate street food and took pictures by the ocean! It was very foggy and polluted but it created some beautiful pictures as seen below. We also ate in Incheon Chinatown and saw some amazing architecture!

It is very different to have a time stamp on my departure. But I am making sure to make every day count by meeting new friends and seeing new places here!
