Hear It From Me

I am constantly looking for stories. Whether it's a new hit fantasy or an anecdote from someone's life, I believe there is always something to learn.

I am a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University studying Political Science and minoring in the French language and History. I will be graduating in December of 2022 and then going to the Peace Corps in May of 2023.

I am an experienced Lead Server and Receptionist working in the senior living care industry for 4 years. This has created time for me to build my Interpersonal Skills, English, Teamwork, Team Leadership, and Soft Skills. I also build the deeply valued connections I make with residents and staff. Hearing their stories inspires me to travel and share my stories as well.

I was a Digital Ambassador for ISEP study abroad experiences helping others understand the challenges and positives of studying abroad. I also wanted to understand myself and my strengths and weaknesses during my time abroad.

I studied abroad in Seoul South Korea for a year and gained intercultural communication experience, practiced language skills, and learned how to thrive abroad! I think my most valuable skill now is patience with others. I know I appreciated the patience that others gave me when in a foreign country I want to continue spreading this feeling to others.

I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive. Emotions are not to shy away from and blogging is ls like my own journal of memories and growth.  All of these elements brought me to start my blog as well called emmanemm in Seoul.
